Rosaliene originally trained as a nurse but most of her working career has been focused on people with intellectual disabilities (including 9 years with Prospects – now Livability), mental health needs and brain injury. In the last few years Rosaliene travelled to Albania with ECM to raise awareness on the need for inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in the church and community. Seeing and hearing the stories of so much rejection and stigma faced by those living with disabilities led to her giving up her job and moving abroad. She spent two years with SIM in Zimbabwe and continues to be involved there in training churches and communities to include and care for those with disabilities, developing support networks, resourcing of (mobility) aids and developing provision of education for children with complex needs.
Rosaliene is married to Geoff and has three children Jessica, Ryan and Lisanne.
